We have now deployed our new AVD solution. To access your AVD you will need to use Microsoft's Remote Desktop Client. Instructions can be found below on how to access this application.

Personal Laptop or Desktop - Downloading the Remote Desktop Client
It is recommended to install the full Azure Remote Desktop Client onto your personal device so that you get the best experience.
Installing Remote Desktop Client
- Download the Remote Desktop client installer, choosing the correct version for your device:
- Windows 64-bit (most common)
- Windows 32-bit
- Windows ARM64
- Mac App Store
- Run the installer by double-clicking the file you downloaded.
- On the welcome screen, select Next.
- To accept the end-user license agreement, check the box for I accept the terms in the License Agreement, then select Next.
- For the Installation Scope, select one of the following options:
- Install just for you: Remote Desktop will be installed in a per-user folder and be available just for your user account. You don't need local Administrator privileges.
- Install for all users of this machine: Remote Desktop will be installed in a per-machine folder and be available for all users. You must have local Administrator privileges.
- Select Install.
- Once installation has completed, select Finish.
You can now follow the instructions below for Corporate Laptop to configure your client.
Note: You may get prompted to allow a firewall exception to allow audio and video. If you do, then you should accept the exception and then restart your device.

Accessing from a Corporate device
Open the Remote Desktop application that has been installed on your device, there will be first time setup activity:
- From the search menu on your desktop type Remote Desktop and open the application:

First time set up will be required
- Select Subscribe. Click Next
- You can enter your own Aberdeen email address or this URL https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com

- Select your Aberdeen credentials or Select Use another account if your Aberdeen account is not listed

- If adding your account, type your email address. Click Next

- Type your password. Click Sign In

- Use your Microsoft Authenticator app to complete the log on process
