Economic infrastructure refers to assets that underpin economic activity by delivering essential services. Aberdeen's approach focuses on Core/Core+ assets across energy (including renewables, district heating, and biomethane), transport (rail, urban mobility, equipment leasing), and digital (fibre, fixed wireless access, data centres)

Economic infrastructure typically includes assets that support connectivity, mobility, energy supply and economic activity. Aberdeen’s strategy focuses on European small to mid-market infrastructure investments in energy, transport and digital sectors, rather than broader infrastructure categories such as social infrastructure.

Transport infrastructure can include assets such as rail infrastructure, urban mobility, maritime assets, equipment leasing and electrification. 

Energy infrastructure can include renewables, energy distribution and transmission, district heating, energy services and storage.
